Now entering it’s third year, the North Carolina Discovery Ball is one of North Carolina’s premier fundraising events. Since it’s inception, the event has raised more than $790,000 to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
We are incredibly honored to chair the American Cancer Society’s 2025 North Carolina Discovery Ball. Cancer has impacted the lives of our family and friends tremendously through the years, so this cause is near and dear to our hearts. We ask you to join us as we build upon the amazing success of this year’s Discovery Ball. Your generosity will enable the American Cancer Society to continue their incredible mission of improving the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research and patient support, so that one day, we will all live in a world where there is a cure for cancer.
LeadershipSince 1946, the American Cancer Society has supported researchers at pivotal points in their career – to give them the support they need to keep great research going or to take their ideas from dream to reality. The American Cancer Society is proud to have helped more than 24,000 investigators make important advances in prevention, early detection, treatment, and care for those with cancer. In fact, 50 of those investigators have gone on to win the Nobel Prize, considered the highest accolade any scientist can receive. As the largest private not-for-profit, non-governmental funder of cancer research in the US, the American Cancer Society has played a role in many of the major cancer research breakthroughs of the last century.
